- Eligibility Requirements
- The minimum requirements are for professional work experience, language ability and education. Applications are assessed based on age, education, work experience, possession of a valid job offer, English and French language skills and adaptability to living in Canada. A 100-point grid is used to assess eligibility for the Federal Skilled Worker Program.
- Minimum requirements:
Skilled work experience, 1 of these National Occupational classifications (NOC) job groups:
- Managerial jobs (skill type 0)
- Professional careers (skill level A)
- Technical jobs and skilled trades (skill level B)
Language ability:
- take approved language tests in English or French for:
- writing
- reading
- listening
- speaking
- Achieve a minimum score of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 in all four areas.
- Report test results in your Express Entry profile
Language tests are valid for two years after the date of the test result. Must be valid on the day you apply for permanent residence. Take our assessment test to see if you qualify.
